3rd EURIPA Rural Health Forum

In 2012 the EURIPA 3rd Rural Health Forum focussed on Education and Training for Rural Practice and took place on 11th - 13th May 2012 on the Island of Pag, Croatia.  The title was:

Professionalising the rural health workforce through education and training

There were 8 key themes that were discussed in participative workshop sessions:

• Teaching undergraduates in rural practice
• Training for rural practice
• CPD for rural practice
• Training for emergencies and Out of Hours
• Interprofessional Learning (IPE) in Rural Practice
• Rural Education Research and developing a rural academic base
• The contribution of education to recruitment and retention
• Developing higher qualifications in rural practice and rural health
