Rural Health Workforce Survey

The Blueprint for Rural Practice explores several issues around workforce, which are crucial to the future of rural general practice. The rural health workforce must be fit for purpose and meet the needs of the community that it serves - rural career pathways need to be developed to ensure that the rural students of today become the clinicians, teachers and leaders of tomorrow.

EURIPA would like to know what is currently happening across Europe as a whole and is conducting an on-line survey on the Rural Health Workforce in Europe (for doctors and nurses). The purpose of this survey is to understand the current position in terms of pathways to rural practice.  This survey asks questions from the beginning, starting in rural schools, through undergraduate and post graduate education and training for doctors and nurses, and continuing professional development. It should take about 15 minutes for you to complete.

One of the EURIPA invited workshops for WONCA Europe 2023 in Brussels will be on the rural workforce when we hope to be able to present the initial findings from this survey.
